Bollywood demands safety for women in India after another #nirbhaya in Hyderabad

Hyderabad witnessed the brutal and tragic death of Priyanka Reddy, a government veterinary doctor who was raped and burnt alive.

The incident happened on Wednesday night and the charred body of the 27-year-old veterinary doctor was found at the underpass near Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway in the wee hours of Thursday morning. On Friday, as per the reports, the Hyderabad police have arrested four people (two truck drivers and two helpers) for the gang rape and murder of the Vet doctor. 

This horrifying crime reminded many of the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case of Delhi and raged public across the country.

Many Bollywood celebrities including Akshay Kumar have taken this to social media and condemned her tragic death & the heinous crime.

Akshay Kumar talked about the heinous crime of gang rape and need strict laws to implement.

Sona Mohapatra, who has been at the forefront of the sexual harassment cases in Bollywood. shared her views about the crime.
