Padmaavat fever has finally given us all some respite after the movie has released and garnered some much-deserved applause for the lead performances. The next big release of Bollywood, Pad Man, is slated to hit the theatres on 9th February and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film.   The team Pad Man has come up with #padmanchallenge to break the norm where ladies and girls usually buy the sanitary pads in utmost '''stealth" mode and hide it in the farthest corners of their almirah. Quite frankly, because of the popular (mis)belief that period is "that time of the month" and sanitary napkins (unused/used) should not be found in open. Pad Man film has urged the biggest stars of Bollywood to get clicked holding sanitary pads and re-iterate that periods and pads are not something to be ashamed about. Bollywood, as supportive as it is, has come up and out to stand by the cause. From Aamir Khan to Ayushmann Khurrana, Sonam Kapoor to Deepika Padukone, many leading faces of our film industry held pads and smiled for the cameras, take a look: Akshay Kumar [caption id="attachment_29098" align="alignnone" width="937"] source: instagram[/caption] Aamir Khan [caption id="attachment_29099" align="alignnone" width="1050"] source: instagram/twitter[/caption] Arjun Kapoor [caption id="attachment_29100" align="alignnone" width="767"] source: instagram[/caption] Ayushmann Khurrana [caption id="attachment_29102" align="alignnone" width="1080"] source: instagram (sonam kapoor)[/caption] Sonam Kapoor [caption id="attachment_29103" align="alignnone" width="1080"] source: instagram[/caption] Deepika Padukone https://www.instagram.com/p/BevhVpCBxdX/   Madhuri Dixit https://www.instagram.com/p/BexVaT_n1eg/   Shabana Azmi [caption id="attachment_29104" align="alignnone" width="1080"] source: instagram (sonam kapoor)[/caption] However, the quirkiest way to promote the film's cause and break the convention came from Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao who shared a short Instagram video. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bew5FxbAbPo/   The #padmanchallenge began from Arunachalam Muruganantham, the real-life Pad-Man who has inspired the Akshay Kumar-starrer. He shared a pic of him holding the sanitary napkin and challenged the movie's cast. "Yes that's a pad in my hand & there's nothing to be ashamed about. It's natural! Period."
Pad Man, the film is directed by R. Balki and stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in the leading roles.
