Anthony Bourdain, a well-known travel journalist and celebrity chef took his last breath on Friday. This chef was one of the few celebrity chefs with global outreach. His death has shocked all of his fans across the globe. The host showcased some of the most exotic delicacies of the world. His shows were always focused on food and lifestyle of different places. He was always focused on different cultures and their traditions. He was larger than life figure. A gifted chef and an explorer who explored different cultures and cuisines through his book. He was in France, shooting for his next episode with CNN. His closest friend Eric Ripert who is also a chef found him unresponsive in his hotel room on Friday morning. Eric told the media that Bourdain had killed himself in the hotel room. He tweeted; "Anthony was my best friend,"  "An exceptional human being, so inspiring & generous. One of the great storytellers who connected w so many. I pray he is at peace from the bottom of my heart. My love and prayers are also w his family, friends and loved ones." "His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much," CNN said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time." Former US president Barack Obama shared a throwback picture on his Twitter where he shared a table with the chef. he wrote; "'Low plastic stool, cheap but delicious noodles, cold Hanoi beer.' This is how I'll remember Tony," Obama posted to Twitter on Friday. "He taught us about food -- but more importantly, about its ability to bring us together. For the past year, Bourdain had been dating Italian actress Asia Argento. She remembered Bourdain as someone who "gave all of himself in everything that he did."
Last year, he advocated for Argento as she went public with accusations against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. She added "He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated."
