A tea vendor of Rajasthan is under the scanner of the Income Tax Department for supposedly handing out Rs 1.51 crore as dowry on his 6 daughters wedding on April 4. The I-T office had served its notice to him on Tuesday. "We will wait till Thursday. He will be questioned on his income, and it will be checked if he filed his returns or not. If the dowry he paid stemmed from unaccounted for income, a tax deduction process would be initiated. He has also been asked to produce documents pertaining to his income," a senior I-T officer said. Gujjar is additionally under the scanner for supposedly getting four minor little girls wedded. As per sources, Gujjar had printed wedding cards for only two of his elder girls. However, his four minor daughters were likewise hitched at the April 4 function. Police are in search for Gujjar and his family. "We went by their home yet they are absent. Their relatives have been made a request to show up at the police headquarters," said an officer posted at the Kothputli police headquarters.
