It was just yesterday that we celebrated International women's day and here is yet another proof of how great women are. Anjum Moudgil who hails from Chandigarh brought home a Silver medal in Shooting. It is her first medal at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup (ISSF). The sports event is being held in Mexico. Anjum won the medal in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (3P). By winning this medal the Chandigarh girl has also proved that a girl can come over any kind of hurdle. It is being reported that the weather was quite on her side that day. The shooting was difficult of the wind that day. Despite the obstacles, she registered a score of 454.2. With her win, India now has a total of eight ISSF medals including three golds and four bronzes. It is the nation's first silver. She has brought home 7 medals in them. She has won more than 50 medals in National Competitions. If your wondering, Anjum started shooting since 2009 and has been a part of the Indian team since 2010. She competes in 10m Air Rifle, 50m 3 Position and 50m Prone. In this particular event (ISSF World Cup) the 20-year-old finished behind China's Ruijiao Pei who scored 455.4 after the 45-shot final. China also took the Bronze after Ting Sun finishing with a score of 442.2.
