Channa Mereya

Yesterday was judgment day for the movie Channa Mereya. The movie marked the debut of the leads of the movie Ninja, Amrit Maan, and Payal Rajput. As the trailer and the songs of the movie promised us a lot, the bar of the expectation was at its highest. Now did they live up to the expectations or did they hardly please anyone?

Well, the good news is the movie broke the bar of the expectation and pleased everyone. While we leave it for you guys to find out what happens in the movie. Here’s what is great about it.

To put it in words it is a perfect blend of everything. From acting to cinematography, direction, dialogues, and screenplay the film has displayed everything on point. Ninja, Amrit Maan, and Payal Rajput never let us realize that they are debutantes. Also, senior actors Yograj Singh, B.N Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Anita Devgan have marvelously played their roles and gave the movie a whole new character. You will not only fall in love with the characters but also the locations. From beautiful streets of Punjab to Ice covered Dalhousie cinematographer Vineet Malhotra has sensationally captured everything.

Pankaj Batra’s direction gave a great shape to the movie and also sprayed a mist of Punjabi culture which makes the movie distinct from the Marathi (Sairat) one. Presented by White Hill Studios and Zee Studios it was produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu.
