The film has already set the box office on fire in the neighbor nation on the very second day of the release. In China this movie was released with the title 'Toilet Hero'. The movie earned 15.94 crore on the first day of the release and collected 23.90 crore on the second day, bringing in the total of about 39.85 crore. The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer 'Toilet- Ek Prem Katha' has made it to the number one spot in China box office within the first weekend of its screening there. According to some reports, the Hindi Film makers were not sure about the love it will receive on the other side of the border will be any closer to what it had got in India. The reason can be, this movie revolves around the Indian rural condition... But looking at the figures, an entirely different story is being written. In India, people had showed immense love to this movie based on a social cause. It had broken the records of South Indian film industry's highest earning movie 'Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’. This movie had earned around 134.22 crore. It was screened in 11,500 screens across the country. In China, Toilet Hero has earned a bigger opening than any other films like Hindi Medium or Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film was directed by Shree Narayan Singh, who had also supported the government's campaign to improve sanitation issues in India, a flagship mission of our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
