CHRISTIAN FROM INDIA BUILDS MOSQUE FOR MUSLIMS IN DUBAI

It's not every day a story wins million of hearts but today one guy who is winning it today is Saji Cheriyan. This gentleman had landed in UAE back in 2003 with just a few dirhams in his pocket and worked his way to the top through all the hard work. Saji who practices Christianity belongs to Kerala and after moving to UAE and achieving heights in career he has now built a mosque worth 2.5 crores in Fujairah, as a gift on the auspicious festive of Ramadan, for the Muslims workers who reside in the vicinity.   In an interview with Gulf News, he shared the whole idea behind this,

They have to spend at least 20 Dirham to go to Fujairah city or another industrial area to attend the Juma prayer in a mosque. So, I thought it will make them happy if I build a mosque here next to their accommodation. The Awqaf officials were surprised and happy when they got to know I am a Christian who wishes to build a mosque. They have offered me all the support and were ready to offer free electricity and water and other facilities.
After the word spread in the area like fire in jungle donations started to pour in for this noble work, to all the surprise Saji politely declined all of them as he wanted to build the holy mosque with his own hard earned money. He has named it 'Mariam, Umm Eisa'. This proves that humanity still exists and till the time we have such beautiful souls existing on the earth it is no less than a heaven.
