COURT ISSUES STAY ORDER IN ALI-MISHA CONTROVERSY: DEETS BELOW

Ali Zafar and Misha Shafi sexual harassment controversy have taken a new turn. In the latest development, sessions court of Lahore has asked Meesha to refrain from making any defamatory remarks on the 'Channo' singer. It all started in April when Shafi took to Twitter to share a statement in which she mentioned that Ali harrassed her on different occasions to which Ali also responded on his Twitter handle. He wrote, "I intend to take this through the courts of law, and to address this professionally and seriously rather than to lodge any accusations here." A couple of days ago Ali filed a defamation case against Misha and sent her a legal notice in which he asked her to pay Rs 100 crore as damages. Hearing of this case was held on Monday in Lahore's session court which was headed by Judge Shehzad Ahmed who granted a stay order in Ali's favor. The court verdict restrained Meesha from making any kind of defamatory statements on any kind of platform till the final verdict is announced. The court has asked Shafi to respond to the Rs 100 crore lawsuits filed against her by July 5 after the Sun Re Sajania singer's counsel, Rana Intizar Hussain, presented his arguments. Zafar's counsel also stated that despite the legal notice, the Sun Ve Balori singer didn't reply to it. During a hearing on Monday, Misha was found absent from the court, next hearing of this case is expected to happen in July. https://www.gabruu.com/ali-zafar-files-rs-1-billion-defamation-case/
