DID YOU KNOW? GIPPY GREWAL PERFORMED IN IMMENSE PAIN DURING 'DJ WALA' GABRUU

Films are not easy to make, nor is it easy for actors to reach stardom. Artists have to strive and often suffer to excel in their craft. They reach to the heights of success by, literally, shedding sweat and blood. Punjabi films may have smaller budgets but Pollywood actors are equally dedicated to their art. Gippy Grewal, who is known for his acting and singing mettle, proved that he is sincere and knows how to carry on despite all hurdles on the sets of Carry On Jatta 2. He has shot for two of his projects almost simultaneously, one being a biopic based on the life of a war hero and the other being White Hill Productions’ Carry On Jatta 2. The sequel of 2012’s comedy caper being helmed by Smeep Kang stars Gippy Grewal in the leading role. According to the sources, during the shoot of the song DJ Wala, that released today, Grewal ended up hurting his back. This limited his dance movements and he was admitted to the hospital when the pain did not subside. In an exclusive statement, he told,

We were shooting for the song when I hurt my back. Had it been a regular shoot, the pain would not have bothered me. But dancing movements took a toll and I had to be admitted to the hospital overnight. The doctors recommended me to take it easy for a while and avoid any sudden movements.
Nevertheless, the dedicated star reached the sets the very next day to complete his part and finished the shoot with energy and smile. Telling about this, Grewal said,
I did not want the shooting schedule to suffer because of my health, so I came back the very next day. We had to ease up some parts of the choreography and I am absolutely thankful to the whole team of Carry On Jatta 2 for taking care of me. DJ Wala is definitely going to be the most memorable experience of my life.
The song that released under the White Hill Music banner is sung by Gippy Grewal himself. DJ Wala features him and others shaking the leg on the beats set by Sukh E. Jaani has written the catchy and upbeat lyrics. He will be seen reviving the character of Jass in Carry on Jatta 2 opposite Sonam Bajwa, who has replaced Mahie Gill from the prequel. The film is set to release on 1st June.
