Later on, when she was asked what made her emotional, the actor said, “My day started really well yesterday. At around 3 AM, this news alert came on my phone for a very big player, NBA player, who I followed for a while." Here she was mentioning to the death of American basketball star Kobe Bryant who was killed in a helicopter crash in California along with her teenage daughter, Gianna.
Dia Mirza said that the news upsets her and because of which she broke down. Kobe and Gianna were among the nine people who were killed when a helicopter in which they were traveling got crashed amid foggy conditions and burst into flames in the hills.
The actor is known to be very vocal about her stance on climate change and recently she even took a part in a cleanliness drive at a beach in Mahim, Mumbai.
