There are so many ways through the talent among the audience and the common man is found. Today different platforms have been made in the search for this talent. But there are some lucky ones who didn’t really need any such talent hunt shows for their talent to be discovered and brought forward.

Here we bring to you top actresses of the Punjabi entertainment industry and how they entered the Punjabi entertainment industry.

NEERU BAJWA


Neeru Bajwa is the queen of Punjabi entertainment industry. She entered the field of acting with her debut soap opera which was titled ‘Hari Mirchi Lal Mirchi’. The show was broadcast in 2003.

SONAM BAJWA


Sonam Bajwa, the fitness queen of Punjabi entertainment industry, always knew that she wanted to become an actress. She also participated in Femina Miss India in 2012 and soon entered the field of Punjabi entertainment industry with her debut movie, ‘Best Of Luck’.

WAMIQA GABBI


Wamiqa Gabbi is a trained Kathak dancer who was first seen in Honey Singh and Amrinder Gill starrer film, ‘Tu Mera Bai Mai Tera Bai’.

SARGUN MEHTA


Sargun Mehta too always wanted to be an actress. She also participated in theatre when she was in college. She got her big break in a Hindi daily soap, ‘12/24 Karol Bagh’. Later she was seen in ‘Kya Hua Tera Vaada’ and television series ‘Phulwa’.

MANDY TAKHAR


Mandy Takhar is a Brit citizen who grew up in the UK. But with immense knowledge of Punjabi culture, she took drama classes to become a Punjabi actress. She was then seen in Babbu Maan starrer, ‘Ekam- Son of Soil’.

SIMI CHAHAL


Simi Chahal first featured in some Punjabi music videos. After being noticed by the filmmakers she got her big break in Ammy Virk starrer ‘Bambukat’ which was released in 2016.
