Salman Khan is all set to reclaim the top spot at the box office with his upcoming movie Bharat. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, with whom he has delivered some of the biggest hits of his life, like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat is seeing some good buzz around it since the time the first teaser and posters of the film were released.
The movie will see Salman Khan donning different looks from a young retro age man to an old man. The movie is about his journey along with the country, India.
Recently in a tweet the director of the movie Ali Abbas Zafar revealed that recreating scenes from the partition of India and Pakistan was the most challenging part. He said
Partition was the most challenging part of @Bharat_TheFilm shoot , to recreate the scale of this defining moment of history and to keep the emotions Zinda in the middle of that chaos ..is the soul of an extraordinary journey of an ordinary man #BHARAT pic.twitter.com/90eQWz8aJ0— ali abbas zafar (@aliabbaszafar) May 15, 2019
The pictures feature actor Jackie Shroff, among a large group of people, struggling to board a train. A similar scene also features in the trailer of the film.
Apart from Salman Khan, the film also stars Katrina Kaif, who plays the female protagonist in the film, and Jackie, who essays the role of Salman's father. The cast list also includes Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani and Tabu in pivotal roles. Bharat is scheduled to release on June 5.
The trailer, which was released in April, showcased Bharat's (played by Salman Khan) story being told in five different chapters, spanning a period of over 60 years. Helmed by Zafar, the film is produced by Atul Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
Bharat is an official remake of South Korean film Ode to My Father. After Tubelight, this is another Salman Khan film that is a remake of a foreign film. That film failed to create any magic at the box office, will this one work? We'll know once it'll release.
