A few days back we watched the 'Soorma' trailer featuring Diljit Dosanjh and now the makers of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gold' has shared the first poster of the film. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. Both the films are focused on the game called hockey. Where Soorma is a biopic of hockey legend Sandeep Singh, Gold is a period drama which defines 1948 world cup where India won its first gold medal as an independent nation. That was the first time when India participated as an Independent nation and that too in London. Did you guys notice that apart from hockey, these two films have some other similarities too? As per reports both Akshay Kumar and Diljit Dosanjh are trained by none other than Sandeep Singh himself. Arjun award winner Sandeep Singh was signed to train the actors with his hockey skills. Diljit already expressed his feelings about working in the film. The actor said; "Sandeep Singh and his elder brother were always there on the film set so I didn't face much difficulty to portray character of Sandeep Singh onscreen because they were monitoring the film shoot and if there were any mistakes from my side then, they quickly used to rectify that," he added. Soorma is set to hit the screens on 13th of July and it is one of the most anticipated works done by Diljit Dosanjh whereas Gold is scheduled for release on 15th of August.
