Scientists at ISRO successfully launch CARTOSAT-3 along with thirteen other nanosatellites.
ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) launched its mapping and earth imaging satellite CARTOSAT-3 and 13 other nanosatellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.
ISRO Chief, Dr. K Sivan said “I am happy that PSLV-C47 injected precisely in the orbit with 13 other satellites. Cartosat-3 is highest resolution civilian satellite. We have 13 missions up to March, 6 large vehicle missions and 7 satellite missions.”
Prime Minister Modi also congratulated the team of scientists for this successful launch. He tweeted, “I heartily congratulate the entire ISRO team on yet another successful launch of PSLV-C47 carrying indigenous Cartosat-3 satellite and over a dozen nanosatellites of USA.”
ISRO has been accomplishing a lot since its extraordinary mission to Mars in 2013. In 2018, the ISRO launched 239 satellites for 28 different countries. The money that they got with these, they invested it in the R&D and for Chandrayaan 2 & are now coming up with different missions altogether.
