FAMILY, FRATERNITY & FANS  GAVE A TEARY EYED FAREWELL TO SRIDEVI

Indian Cinema lost its one of the most talented actresses Sridevi on early Sunday morning. She died due to accidental drowning in Dubai. Since this news hit the headlines, the whole nation has been in sorrow. Sridevi had her last breath at the age of 55. Today, her cremation took place at Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and the B-Town biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Karisma Kapoor, Rekha, Manish Malhotra, Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Sushmita Sen, Madhuri Dixit Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandes, Jaya Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Malaika Arora Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor and others attended her last rites. Her family, including Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor were saddened and grieved at the loss of their family member. Her husband Boney Kapoor, daughters Khushi Kapoor and Jahanvi Kapoor looked inconsolable. The official statement from the Kapoor clan states that ”Khushi, Jahanvi, Boney Kapoor and the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families are deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. Late Sridevi Kapoor passed away in Dubai, UAE, on Saturday, February 24. We thank the film fraternity, media, fans of late Sridevi Kapoor and all the well-wishers for their prayers, support and sensitivity during our moment of immense grief. We request you to kindly join us in paying our last respect to a remarkable actor, beloved wife, and loving mother.” Sridevi entertained Indian audience for 50 long years with her impeccable acting craft and tremendous dance moves. She had received many Filmfare Awards and a Padam Shri award for her mind-blowing cinematic performances. Her awesome filmography includes superhits and acclaimed films like Chandni, Sadma, Mr. India, Chalbaaz, Lamhe, Khuda Gawah, Mom, English Vinglish, Himmatwala, Laadla and many more. May her soul rest in peace. She will be remembered, loved and missed forever by every one of us.
