FINLAND’S FIRST TRANS MAN GIVES BIRTH TO A HEALTHY BABY

While a certain men in India concentrate on bringing down a particular community and making absurd remarks like days back a Kerala professor commented that women who wear jeans give birth to autistic and transgender children but the community stays unrestrained and bold to create wonders. Such was the case when first time a Finnish trans man gave birth to a baby. The baby is healthy with weight of about 4 Kilograms and about 53 cm in length at the time of the birth. In 2015, a Finnish woman underwent a hormonal therapy to change her gender after testosterone therapy but didn’t go for sex change surgery to complete the process of becoming a man. Years later, the trans man who is in his 30’s developed fertility and became pregnant with his husband. There’s a controversy to this case as the Finnish law requires a person to prove their “infertility” in order to update their gender identity on official records but in medical practice, the person is deemed to be infertile if the testosterone therapy is being continued for a long time. In a previous interview the transgender man said while still pregnant that “Do I want the society to dictate what I can do with my body and my life? Nothing can stop me. I’m a free man”. The father told that he faced no complications during the pregnancy although he was told that his chances of conceiving were impossible. The only problem he faced was of paperwork he had to do as he was applying for a maternity allowance with a male social security number. After delivery he has also been granted paternal leave.
