The queen of Pollywood ‘Miss Pooja’ and the talented actor ‘Harish Verma’ has been surrounded with a new controversy now. The news is that an FIR has been filed against both these stars alleging that their song ‘Jeeju’ which got released in December 2017 has hurt the religious sentiments of people as it portrays the death God ‘Yamraj’ in a negative light. The complaint has been registered by a religious outfit group. Although Harish Verma has been shown in an attire of Yamraj with a ‘Gada’ in his hand. But the matter of fact here is that, in the song and its video there has been no instance where he has been hurting any religious sentiments of a religion. There have been times when a comic relief or some facts have to be strangled in order to make them look interesting on screen for the audience. It has been done in the Bollywood movie ever since. Take the case of Bollywood movies like ‘Waah! Life ho to Aisi’, where Yamraj is portrayed in an entirely different way, or the old one ‘Taqdeerwala’ and ‘Yamlok’ also including all the funny content we have on the internet. We just have one question, that why were cases not registered then? While in the video of this song ‘Jeeju’ Miss Pooja has given just a small reference of the death God as she is scared of her Husband. Nowhere has she said that her husband is ‘Yamraj’! And the major part of the video shows Miss Pooja dancing and fighting over with Harish Verma making the audience entertain over it. All that we have to say is, we don’t mean to hurt any religion and wish to convey that the content that we consume through these videos and songs is sole entertainment content, there should be no fuss related to it. The matter of entertainment should be consumed in a lighter way and should be enjoyed by all.
