Flights at Indira Gandhi International Airport cancelled because of bad weather


11 departure flights and 8 arrival flights have been canceled because of bad weather conditions at the Delhi International Airport.


A thick blanket of fog has engulfed the capital of India causing an obstruction in the movement of trains, flights, cars and scooters. Due to extremely low visibility at least five flights have been diverted and 12 have been delayed on Friday morning at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, claimed an official. 


He said, “Five flights have been diverted since morning at Delhi Airport due to low visibility and around 12 flights are running late.”

The functioning of flights at the airport has been impacted because of the bad weather conditions. The takeoffs and landings of the flights continue, some other flights have been affected because of the crew operational restrictions.
