There are certain Punjabi artists who have gained immense respect and love from the audience over a period of time. These are also those artists who have fans of all age groups, now you yourself can imagine the regard and admiration he has, not just in Punjab but all over the world.
Here we are talking about none other but our very own, much-loved artist Rana Ranbir. Today on his special day, we’d like to discuss and share with you the struggle and all the hard work he has done to reach the place where he is today.
He pursued a post-graduation degree in theatre and television from Punjabi University, Patiala.
He is a theatre artist and to date does theatre plays very fondly. He started his career on the television with co-comedian, Bhagwant Maan and did shows like Jugnu Mast Mast and Naughty No.1. He also anchored a road show named Excuse Me Please. One of the main theatres plays that he is famously known for is Khetan Da Putt.
Later he started appearing in many Punjabi films and thereby started getting name and recognition for his work in the industry. He is also known for his comic timings, and very efficiently proved his mettle in the field of acting over a period of time. In totality, he has worked for 12 years in the Punjabi industry and has worked in over 55 films.
But he changed the perception of himself after he did Asees, which was also the film which he directed for the first time. He was applauded for his direction skill and for acting skill too.
He is not just an actor or a director. Rana Ranbir is also a writer. He showcased his talent of writing when he wrote the concept of the film ‘Munde UK De’ which was released in 2009. After that, he wrote scripts for 10 Punjabi films. He has written a book named Zindagi Zindabad, and the artist released its third part last year.
Rana Ranbir is a gem of the Punjabi industry in a true sense, and we hope that his work in the entertainment industry is remembered forever.
