GAGANDEEP SINGH WHO SAVED MUSLIM MAN,HONOURED WITH FRONTIER SERVICE RESPECT MARK

A Sikh is known for his lively spirit and bravery. A true Sikh stands tall in the face of obstacles and extends support to anybody without any discrimination of caste, creed or color. This is what happened in Ramnagar where Sub-Inspector Gagandeep became the turbaned knight in shining armor for a Muslim boy. Gagandeep Singh, the Uttarakhand cop who saved a Muslim man from getting lynched has been conferred with ‘Frontier Service Respect Mark’ award. Sub-inspector Gagandeep had saved a young Muslim man from a mob in Ramnagar when the young man was allegedly discovered with a Hindu woman in a temple complex. The incident took place on May 22, when the boy came to meet the girl. This is not the first instance when a policeman has displayed exceptional devotion to duty. Such acts, however, are few and far between. Many lovers have suffered the so-called ‘moral policing’ from the society. Love jihad has gotten scarier and so has the political youth and communal fronts brandishing their powers. Hardly ever we hear the stories of bravehearts like Gagandeep Singh coming forward to safeguard the sanctity and purity of love. And when we do, we leave no chance to praise them. Hail this Young Man!!!!
