A recent evening at the Times Square, New York was an extremely proud moment for all the Punjabis, no one had ever expected that a Punjabi film's song would ever get released this most happening part of the earth. The streets went colourfull, sparking, and grooving as the second song 'Ishq Da Tara' from upcoming multi starrer flick 'Subedar Joginder Singh' saw its release. No wonder and it won't even be wrong to say that the yet to release 'Subedar Joginder Singh' is the first Punjabi film to see such a huge media coverage and such adoration by audiences worldwide. A perfect example of which is actor-singer Gippy Grewal's latest Instagram post. In the post, Gippy can be seen sharing his upcoming flick's mega-size poster on the theater wall located somewhere in Brampton, Canada. Not just this but according to the 'Angreji Beat' singer it is first such film poster to be displayed with such affection, not even any Hindi films have seen any such promotion till date. Even you'd feel proud after watching Gippy's recent Instagram story wherein SJS' poster is hanging right next to Deadpool 2. In the mega hoarding, one can see Gippy along with his men of the army Karamjit Anmol, Guggu Gill, Kulwinder Billa, Rajvir Jawanda, Roshan Prince and Jaggi Singh.

A historic war drama, the movie is based on Param Vir Chakra awardee Subedar Joginder Singh who laid his life fighting for India during the Sino-Indian war. Joginder Singh was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his extraordinary courage while protecting the Indian soil on the Line of Control during the Sino-Indo war of 1962. The film has been produced by Seven Colors Motion Picture in association with Saga Music and Unisys Info solutions and will be releasing on April 6, 2018.
