Movies for debutants are like a major breakthrough and another chance to showcase their talent. This is like one more opportunity for them to entertain the audience and prove their mettle. Well, this time the debutant whom we are going to see in a film is, Diamond-fame Gurnam Bhullar.
Gurnam Bhullar is a singer-turning-actor with the major Punjabi flick, Guddiyan Patole. Along with him, the audience will see Sonam Bajwa and Tania. Other than these three, Nirmal Rishi will also be seen in an important role in the film.
The trailer of the film came out today and need we say, we are excited....
While we see Sonam and Tania as girls with Canadian swag and style, Gurnam, on the other hand, gives the feel of an innocent but an urban village boy. The innocence and purity in Gurnam’s character can be seen in the first scene of the trailer where he is seen talking to his dog bobbler. It looks like even this toy is taken as a pivotal character in the film. And then his tone of saying “Oye Mangra, Canedaa to patole aaye aa” can tell how casual and unimpeachable this character is.
Seeing the trailer, one can definitely see what transition and change Sonam has gone through for her role in the film. Her accent, hairstyle, attitude, and overall persona is something never seen before. She has said goodbye to her typical Punjabi girl image which was seen in her previous films and is, now, all set to show that she can pull off diverse roles equally well.
'Guddiyan Patole' will be Tania’s second film after Qismat, which was a blockbuster last year. She is capturing the hearts of all her fans and is now ready to set the screens on fire with her role as a Canadian girl. Though she is shown as Sonam’s younger sister, still she has an equally important and a strong role in the film, as evident from the trailer.
Nirmal Rishi is at her best as always. Her dialogue delivery, expressions, and brittleness in her tone is just the right tone one would expect from an old village lady.
The twist or the climax will be to see who ends with Gurnam Bhullar in the end. Because there are few scenes in the trailer where we see Gurnam romancing both the sisters.
The film has been helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora, and the project has been backed by Bhagwant Virk and Nav Virk. It is all set to hit the theatres on 8th March.
The filmmakers had released the title track ‘Guddiyan Patole’ some days ago and the song is getting love and support in humungous quantity. The song is written and sung by Gurnam Bhullar, and V Rakx Music has given beats to the song.
