Gurdas Maan is one of the notable figures in the Pollywood industry who is better known for his versatile singing along with a songwriter, actor, and choreographer.

January 4, 2020: Today is Gurdas Maan's 63rd birthday and the singer has always remained in limelight because of his incomparable songs and have become the people's favorite of all time with a career span of almost 40 years in the music industry.

In 1980, Gurdas Maan rose to fame from his song "Dil Da Mamla Hai" which was loved by the audience and till date that song remains evergreen and public's favorite. After this, he also released his famous songs 'Mamla Gadbad Hai'. and 'Chhalla'. The 'Chhalla' song was included in the movie Laung Da Lishkara released in 1986 which Gurdas Maan recorded under the guidance of legendary singer Jagjit Singh

Later, Gurdas Maan has recorded more than 34 albums and sung more than 305 songs in total as a part of his discography and singing career. 

As it is the era of social media and the artists love being attached to their fans, in 2013, Gurdas Maan launched his own Youtube channel as fans can directly interact with him on his songs and several video blogs and also get more engagement for his new music videos.

In 2015, MTV Coke Studio India episode was aired on the MTV India music channel where Gurdas Maan performed with Diljit Dosanjh and sung the song "Ki Banu Dunia Da". This song was released on August 15, 2015, and got more than 32 million views on Gurdas Maan's Youtube channel in just one week's time.

Gurdas Maan has also won accolades and remains the only Punjabi singer to win a National Award for Best Male Playback Singer at the 54th National Film Awards held in 2006 for his song of 'Heer' in Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris. 

Gurdas Maan other song 'Boot Polishan' made him win the Best International Album at the UK Asian Music Awards in 2009.

Gurdas Maan also wished everyone through his Instagram with the caption,
"Jithey mehnatan ne uthey rehamtan vi rehndiyan 🙏🏽 Rab sab nu mehnat karn da jazba devey 👍🏽 Navan Saal sab de lai khushiyan leke aavey 🤗 #Happy2020"
