Happy Birthday Dhadak girl: Let's look at the forthcoming projects of Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor has turned 23 on Friday and just 2 films old in the industry she has established herself in the industry.  She debuted in the industry with Dhadak, an official Hindi remake of Marathi film, Sairat. She starred opposite Ishaan Khatter in the film and the chemistry between the two was much appreciated by the fans and the audience worldwide. Her next project after Dhadak was Nextflix anthology, Ghost Stories.

The actress has a few projects in her pocket and need we say how excited she is for all of them.

Let’s have a look at the Janhvi Kapoor’s forthcoming projects.

Roohi Afzana

She finished the shoot of this film along with Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma. The film will narrate the story of a ghost who kidnaps the brides while they are on their honeymoon. The film will hit the screens on 5th June 2020 and will be a Dinesh Vijan directorial project. This will be Dinesh Vijan’s second horror project after Stree.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

Janhvi will be seen essaying the role of a real life Kargil shero, an Indian air force pilot, Gunjan Saxena. The film was the first project she bagged after her first film, Dhadak. Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the film will be produced by Karan Johar’s production house, Dharma Productions. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathy and Angad Bedi. GunjanSaxena: The Kargil Girl is scheduled to hit the screens on         24th April 2020.

Dostana 2

Another film which will be produced by Dharma Productions, is a second aprt of Dostana (2008). The sequel will also star Kartik Aaryan and a new comer, Laksshya. Dostana 2 will be helmed by Collin D’Cunha.


A multi starrer and a period drama, this is an ambitious Karan Johar project which stars some of the top names from the industry. The star cast will include Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar playing prominent roles other than Janhvi Kapoor. The film will narrate the life story of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, played by Vicky Kaushal, and his brother Dara Shikoh, played by Ranveer Singh.
