Happy birthday to the fashionista and the style icon of Bollywood and our very own ORIGINAL MASAKALI SONAM KAPOOR.

It should come as no surprise that Sonam Kapoor rang in her 35th birthday in the most extravagant way possible, thanks to her husband Anand Ahuja and sister Rhea Kapoor.

The Bollywood diva shared a series of pictures from her birthday bash on social media and we can't get enough of them. It seems Sonam celebrated her birthday at her Mumbai residence. Nevertheless, everything about Sonam's birthday was on point, from the stunning decorations to delicious chocolate and cookie cakes.

Not only Sonam but Anil Kapoor also shared a picture and wished his daughter on her  birthday

On her birthday  lets take a look at some stand out performances and films by this diva where she showed her acting chops.

1. NEERJA

She was simply outstanding in this film where she essayed the role of a brave flight purser who saves the lives of the passengers aboard.

Sonam hit all the right notes and got into the skin of the character.

2. KHOOBSURAT

Milli, a quirky physiotherapist, works for a royal family, but their cold demeanour troubles her. Soon, she discovers more about them and falls for the young prince who is engaged to someone else.

In this film Sonam played this chirpy girl and impressed us all with her comic timing.

3. EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA

When it comes to supporting the LGBTQ community . Sonam has always gave her back in support to the community.  In this 2019 venture Sonam played a homosexual character and delivered a film which was an important film but remained unnoticed for several reasons.  One being the fact that the makers did not disclose anything about the subject of the film in the trailer.

On the work front, Sonam was last seen on the big screen in The Zoya Factor, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's 2008 novel of the same name, which follows the story of a girl, Zoya Solanki, who becomes a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket team during the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The film also starred Dulquer Salmaan.
