Happy birthday to the onscreen Chandro Daadi , our very own Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi is amongst the very few actresses who managed to make a place for herself in the industry and for all the right reasons.  She does complete justice to what she is hired for ACTING.

Time and again this talented actress has proved herself that she is here to stay.

Here's celebrating her celebrated performances.

1. Dum laga ke haisha

In Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bhumi got a break that most aspiring film actors would run away from - playing an overweight bride. For the role, the actor had to put on as much as 30 kilos, not a mean achievement for even the most seasoned of performers. Yet, Bhumi chose to do so. Playing a character ridiculed by society for her weight and unloved by her under-confident husband, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi was a hit.

2. Sonchiriya

Her role as the feisty Indumati in the latest film Sonchiriya is earning great plaudits, and actor Bhumi Pednekar says playing the character has changed her perspective towards a lot of think and made her aware of patriarchy and traditional tropes that are prevalent in the society.

This is the most underrated performance by the talented star.

3. Saand ki aankh

She played a real life character of an aged woman who becomes a professional shooter and takes part in various competitions.  She played Chandro Tomar, well  her prosthetics may not be the best but her embodiment was beyond excellence.

4. Bala

She again opens a whole new technically old but a new discussion of the Indian mindset being obsessed with fair skin. And how fair is lovely. She played a dark complexioned girl in the film and again made a noteworthy impact in a small role

The talented star will soon be seen in Dolly Kitty aur vo chamakte sitaare and Karan Johar's magnum opus Takht
