Ranbir who started his career in Pollywood as an actor in Manmohan Singh’s directorial ‘Dil Apna Punjabi’ also turned into a writer with ‘Munde U.K. De’ in 2009. Well, writing has been this versatile actor's passion since long, in a course of time of twelve years, Ranbir has acted in more than 55 films and written scripts for apparently 10 films. Not just writing for songs and movies he has also been working on books, out of which the third edition of his book 'Zindagi Zindabad' is about to release. Yes! you read it right. Rana Ranbir will be debuting as a director with his first feature film that has already set a new record in the Punjabi entertainment world. Ranbir’s directional debut titled as ‘Asees’ which was to be shot entirely in Punjab in a time span of 25 days has already got wrapped up prior to the decided schedule. The shoot for the film began on December 5 and got wrapped up on December 24. Thus taking only 19 days to complete and wrap up. Setting a new benchmark for all the filmmakers in the Punjabi film industry Apart from this, the actor has also collaborated with singing sensation Babbu Maan for an upcoming flick titled as Banjara, a movie based on a truck driver’s life. Prior to Banjara, the duo had worked in ‘Hashar’ which got released in the year 2008 and was set at the backdrop of a University. The movie starred Babbu Mann, Gurleen Chopra, and Rana Ranbir.
