MILK AND BAKING SODA


Make a mixture of these two and rub it in a circular motion. Let the mixture be applied on the skin for 15 minutes. The baking soda has exfoliating properties which helps one in getting rid of the dead skin and the lactic acid in the milk helps in moisturizing the skin.

LEMON


Rubbing lemon juice on the elbows and knees for 20 minutes makes the skin lighter. This is because of the natural bleaching properties present in the lemon.

YOGURT


One can cleanse their skin by applying yogurt on the dark areas. Let it rest on the skin for 20 minutes and wash it off after 20 minutes with lukewarm water. Yogurt is also known to be a good moisturizing source.

TURMERIC, MILK AND HONEY PASTE


The natural antiseptic elements in turmeric, natural bleaching properties of milk and moisturizing properties in honey help in lightening the dark elbows and dark knees. Make a mixture of these products and apply it for 20 minutes before washing it.

SUGAR AND OLIVE OIL


The mixture of sugar granules and olive oil should be rubbed gently in a circular motion for getting rid of the dead skin and cells. This also helps in making the skin soft.

SLICED CUCUMBER


Massage a slice of cucumber on the elbows and knees. Leave the mixture applied for 15 minutes. The natural bleaching elements in cucumber moisturize the skin and give a boost to the skin tone.

BUTTERMILK


With the help of natural bleaching properties, buttermilk helps in removing the dead skin by exfoliating it. Apply the mixture for 20 minutes on the dark parts and rinse it off later. You will see the effect if this is done regularly.

TOMATO


Applying tomato pulp on the knees and elbows for 20 minutes refreshes the skin by removing the dead skin. This eventually helps in making the skin tone lighter.

PAPAYA


One can treat the dark knees and elbows by massaging a piece of papaya on them. Papaya is considered an excellent source of antioxidants which also has bleaching properties.
