He stopped in front of her and completed the song while looking at her.

Although Ayushmann Khurrana’s movie ‘AndhaDhun’ was nominated, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal’s spy thriller ‘Raazi’ and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sweeping epic ‘Padmaavat’ won major awards. ‘AndhaDhun’ won the Best Director award and it goes to Sriram Raghavan, Alia Bhatt got the Best Actress award for 'Raazi'.

Salman Khan even took a dig at Ranveer Singh's outlandish clothes and asked that if he was wearing Deepika's gown. On this Ranveer Singh replied that they are recycling these days to match the wary sarcasm by Salman Khan.

Shahid Kapoor became emotional when his half brother Ishaan Khatter won the award for Best Debutante (male) for his role in the movie Dhadak. On receiving the award, Ishaan Khatter shared with his brother Shahid Kapoor. Sara Ali Khan won the award for Best Debutante (female).

He also made his elder brother and the hosts to dance to his hit song 'Zingaat' which was perfectly coordinated with Bollywood moves.

Deepika Padukone won the award for Best Actress for her role as a warrior princess in the movie 'Padmaavat'. She shared “Wow. Twenty years ago I was in school and I was 13 years old. Back then, being an actress was just a dream and to be standing here today on this illustrious stage after having worked in films like ‘Piku’ and ‘Chennai Express’ is that dream being realized."
