Imran Khan took the industry by storm with his debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na a decade ago. However, the actor failed to hold on to the successful start as his following films failed to pull the audience in bug numbers. His last film to release on the big screen was Katti Batti (2015) in which he was paired opposite Kangana Ranaut.
However, the actor is now back in action and has made his directorial debut by creating a short film for Dharma 2.0. The film is titled Mission Mars: Keep Walking India and is based on India’s Mangalyaan mission in 2014.
The cast of the film consists of Abhishek Saha, Prakash Belawadi and Sonali Sachdev in lead roles and gives us a glimpse of what went behind sending India’s first spacecraft to Mars. The short film has received an overwhelming response from the audience as they found the film to be immersive and gripping.
The fans have thanked Imran for trying his hands on direction and are now urging him for more of the same. Earlier, in an interview with The Telegraph, Imran revealed that he had a keen interest in India’s Mangalyaan mission and followed it closely which probably explains why he picked this topic for his debut as a director.
