IN AN EXCLUSIVE CHAT WITH 'STEN GUN' DIRECTOR VINCY SOHAL

Valentine's Day celebrations have become more special with the release of Romeo's latest single 'Sten Gun'. The song is a perfect dance number to praise the beauty of your bae. The lyrics of the track have been penned down by Bunty Bains of 'Ambersar Waala' fame and the music is composed by The Boss, who has aced his craft in songs like Barishan and Teeje Week. 'Sten Gun' marks the collaboration between White Hill Music and TOB Gang. The video film of the track is directed by talented director Vincy Sohal, a member of Filmy Gang. This is the helmer's second directorial after Manjinder Brar's 'Dhokhebaaz'. In an exclusive chat with Gabruu.com, the director of Romeo's latest release, talked his heart out. Read here: Q. What inspired you to get into direction?  Vincy: Films. Philosophers say that they are reflection of society. I believe they are a storytellers' and directors' vision and craft how they present their thoughts on the screen. Although I started off with editing, I always wanted to hold a camera and tell stories. Filmy Gang has provided me the chance to showcase my vision. And I am thankful. Q. How was working on 'Sten Gun'? Vincy: This is not my first foray behind the camera. I have also directed 'Dhokhebaaz' and have worked as an assistant director as well. It's always a bit overwhelming when you venture out and lead a team. 'Sten Gun' was another learning experience which I enjoyed thoroughly. We have made the song with passion and are sure that the listeners will love it. Q. How was your experience working with Romeo, the singer and The Boss, the music director? Vincy: This song is different from Romeo's actual genre of music. He is more of a mellowed and soft romantic singer. It was exciting to direct him in something out of his comfort zone. Added to that, the tremendous musical talent of The Boss. You know, initially, it looked like a big responsibility but it was fun working with them. Q. What are your future plans or are there any new videos in your kitty? Vincy: There are some projects I am working on. The details will be revealed soon but just to inform you all, this will be another new thing I will try my hands on. Sohal's directorial, Sten Gun has released on White Hill Music's YouTube channel today.
