INDIAN DESCENT AMERICAN WINS THE SPELLING BEE CONTEST

14 years old Indian-American Karthik Nemani was declared champion of the National Spelling bee. The boy won the championship on the word "koinonia". It was the most intense competetion in the 93 years history of this event. The 14 years old guy topped among record 515 contestants in the national bee as compared to the previous year which was 291. Along the way he had to compete with 16 finalists who cleared words such as Praxitalean , Ispaghul and telyn. The event was broadcasted live on ESPN. Nemanni who was competing at his first national bee displayed the gracefulness and elegance of a veteran the boy sailed the event from his words "Condottiere" which literally translates to knight or roving soldier ready for hire, "Miarolitic" which means of igneous rock,Cendre-a moderate blue, Ankyloglossia-limited normal movement of the toungue, Grognard,Passus, Shamir(tiny worm which is capable of splitting the hardest stone) and Jaguey an east Indian tree. when the competetion was down to two contestants. the other contestant was Nayesa Modi who was just 12 years old he just misspelled Bewusstseinslage.After this Karthik just knocked him out with the word "Haecceitas" which translates to the status of being an individual.Before he recieved a word which could turn his victory into a complete game changer. Koinonia meaning christian fellowship or body of leaders. just after his victory he said : i'm feeling happy that i did it. This has just been a dream come true. He also continued a long time trend by becoming the 14th champion of south Asian descent. 16 spellers took the stage at Gaylord National Resrt and Convention Centre in Maryland to battle it out for the title of the champion.
