Before the Indian Paralympic Contingent left for the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Shah Rukh Khan met the team to motivate the para-athletes for the games ahead.
At the event, SRK revealed that the para-athletes were the driving force behind his success and that he would want his kids to take inspiration from them. But it is not just SRK but even the para-athletes who love SRK and his songs. And as proof, we have a heart-warming footage of these para-athletes dancing to SRK songs.
Today, Indian para-athlete Deepa Malik posted a video on Twitter where athletes are seen dancing to the tunes of Shah Rukh Khan. 2016 Paralympics Silver medallist Deepa Malik wrote,
“Proud to see #ShahrukhMania at the #AsianParaGames2018 #AthleteVillage! #SRK and #Sports bringing the entire Asian continent together! @iamsrk @KKRiders @MeerFoundation..”
In the video, para-athletes are seen dancing to the 90s hit track Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and it was heart-warming to see athletes from different countries shaking their leg at the 3rd Asian Para Games.
Looks like Shah Rukh Khan is a hot favorite in Indonesia because recently, at the closing ceremony of Asian Games 2018, it was again Shah Rukh Khan who ruled the crowd as his songs were played at the ceremony. Yes, SRK’s Koi Mil Gaya song from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was performed by singer Siddharth Slathia.
While the 2018 Asian Para Games kick-started on October 6, 2018, it is scheduled to end on October 13, 2018. For the uninitiated, Indian para-athletes have bagged 28 medals in the multi-sport event and currently, India is ranked at 8th position with 6 Gold, 9 Silver, and 13 Bronze medals.
