'IT WAS MY DREAM TO DO A FILM ABOUT SIKH SOLDIERS' - DILJIT DOSANJH

It was in 2016 when Diljit Dosanjh's life took a turning point. Since his Bollywood debut with the movie Udta Punjab, he is drinking to the victory of success. His last Bollywood release Phillauri (2017) was also a hit. Although he is now a big name in Bollywood, he has not forgotten his roots. The singer-actor still is equally active in Pollywood as he is in Bollywood. The actor recently spilled some beans about his journey and success in Bollywood. In an interview with DNA, Diljit said that he feels that he hasn't put much effort to be in Bollywood.

I’m very happy. Main shayad deserve nahi karta itna, which I have got in the last two years. I’m saying that because I don’t know many people in Bollywood, yet I get offers. I haven’t put in much effort to get work here.

I have had to work really hard for Punjabi films, bahut mehnat ki hai sab haasil karnke liye.
Talking more Bollywood, the actor told PTI that he is not really after money in Bollywood but wants to experiment.
“I am not earning a lot of money in Bollywood. I am earning (more) money by doing shows and Punjabi films than Hindi films. Let me establish myself here (in Bollywood). I am not running after money in Bollywood, I am experimenting with films and roles here,”

As his upcoming Punjabi war movie, Sajjan Singh Rangroot is due to release in March, he said that he plans to release it in Mumbai as well with subtitles.
It was my dream to do a film about Sikh soldiers who went to England during the war. Not much has been done on them in cinema. When I go to England, I meet several people who tell me stories of their bravery.
The actor admitted that he has been wanting to do this movie since last four years. Diljit said that being a Sardar (a turbanator) he felt he should do this film. The Pankaj Batra directorial stars Sunanda Sharma in the female lead and will release on March 23.
