Ace Bollywood director, Mahesh Bhatt is making a comeback with Sadak 2, and the film will also be the first one with his daughter, Alia Bhatt. The actor says that though she understands Mahesh’s dynamics as a father but working with him on a professional front will be a completely different experience.
Alia while in an interview said
“It will never be easy as I don’t know him as a director, I know him as a dad. Working with him as a director will be a different ball game altogether. I am excited. It is an exciting film.”
She further added “My father is very silent on most of the things. But I still don’t know how he will be on the sets.” Alia also revealed that it was Sanjay Dutt, the original star of Sadak who convinced Mahesh Bhatt to sit back on the director’s chair. Kartoos which was released in 1999 was Bhatt’s last directorial film.
Sadak 2 is a second part of the film which was released in 1991 and starred Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt as the lead actors. Both Sanjay and Pooja are making a comeback for this sequel. Alia said
“Sanju pushed him this time. I did not. He is my father and he is always unpredictable. He has done the most unpredictable thing of directing a film after a long time .”
She also said that film will take forward Ravi and Pooja’s story and her role along with Aditya Roy Kapur’s role will be a new addition to the story. Sadak 2 will hit the theatres on 25th March 2020.
Alia has a very tight and a packed 2019. Her year kick-started with Gully Boy, which was a blockbuster and got much appreciation and applause for the concept, story, and the acting skills of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Then released Kalank which somehow couldn’t do well at the box office. Now she will be soon seen in Brahmastra along with boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor. She also has another project with Karan Johar titled Takht and another one in her kitty with SS FRajamouli which is temporarily being called RRR.
