Comedian Kapil Sharma has been away from the spotlight for quite some months after there were allegations against the unprofessional behavior. But on Saturday he confirmed that he will be returning to the TV with his show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.

Kapil tweeted, "Jalad wapas aa raha hoon ‘The Kapil Sharma Show' lekar aap ke liye sirf Sony TV par (I am returning with 'The Kapil Sharma Show' soon only on Sony Entertainment Television)."

The date of his show to go on air is still to be revealed but the promo of the show will be broadcast in the coming week.

The official spokesperson of Sony Tv said, "Kapil Sharma is coming home to Sony Entertainment Television with his highly successful weekend comedy show. We are delighted and looking forward to again collaborate with Kapil and his absolutely talented creative team and actors."

The comedian turned actor was under the spotlight when he was surrounded by controversies and his personal life after which he completely disappeared from the small screen all of a sudden.

In an interview, Kapil had said: “I want some "me time to "recuperate". I've been working too hard for too long. There is a lot in the pipeline and a lot of new exciting projects which I will talk about soon.” This Kapil told to the leading dailies through an e-mail interview when he was asked about the reason for his disappearance from the small screen.

Kapil was also under the bad light when an audio of him abusing a journalist had gone viral.

Last year he had an argument with his colleague and comedian, Sunil Grover. This fight led to a majorly discussed controversy after which they parted ways professionally from the show Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma, a show which had brought the both of them immense fame, name success and love from the audience.
