JUST BEFORE ITS RELEASE, GULLY BOY TO UNDERGO MAJOR CHANGES

Looks like the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is at it again. Just two days ahead of the highly-anticipated Valentine's Day release, Gully Boy will have to undergo major cuts, courtesy the Censor Board. One of the most significant snip that the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has suffered at the last minute is their much-talked-about passionate kiss.

As per the report, 13 seconds of Ranveer and Alia's intimate scene have been removed at the almost-final hour and this is sure to leave the fans of the duo brokenhearted. This is for the first time that the two super talented actors are coming together on the silver screen and those who were rooting for and looking forward to the on-screen couple spreading their magic together on the 70mm screen, this news will definitely disappoint them.

Not only this, the report further went on to state that cuss words have been euphemized with lighter terms. The mention of a popular whiskey brand, despite it being one of the partners of the movie, has been removed from the movie, probably in a first. In the past, only the labels of liquor brands used to be blurred from the bottles.

Recently, the film had a grand premiere at the Berlin Film Festival (Berlinale) and received immense love from the juries. This was the biggest opening for any Indian film at the arena.

The chemistry between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is unmissably apparent in the trailer and the dialogue promos that have been dropped so far are leaving its fans more excited about the film. The film has reportedly received its censor certificate on Friday.

Helmed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by co-founders Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their production company Excel Entertainment, the film would also see Kalki Koechlin in a pivotal role.

The film is hitting the screens this Valentines ie on 14th Feb and we just can’t wait for it.
