Kangana Ranaut has always remained in the news for her controversial statements about many celebs and this time she has gone way too far. On Sunday evening the actress was present at a press conference organized by the makers of her upcoming film ‘Judgemental Hai Hya’. It was also attended by her co-actor Rajkumar Rao and the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor.
During the press conference, Kangana lashed out at a journalist whom she accused of publishing false stories about her during Manikarnika. During an interactive session the actress pointed out a journalist named Justin Rao from PTI (Press Trust of India).
Accusing the journalist Kangana said;
“You were bashing Manikarnika. Have I done anything wrong by making a film on nationalism? You called me a jingoistic woman who is making a film on nationalism.” To which the journalist replied that he hadn’t tweeted anything along the same lines. “You cannot intimidate a journalist because you are in a power position”, he said.
Kangana did not stop here. She added that Justin had come to her vanity van before and spent three hours there.
“Of course there can be differences, but I have given you interviews before. You came to my van to interview me during Manikarnika, spent at least three hours there and we had lunch together. However, things have changed drastically after that. You had messaged me also, so don’t tell me I am trying to intimidate you.”
The journalist, however, confirmed that he hadn’t texted Kangana and the interview lasted only half an hour. “If you have the prejudice of twisting whatever I say, I cannot speak to you”, the actor added. Kangana also said that the journalist was harming her brand by saying these things and he had conducted smear campaigns against her.
The press conference was organized for a song launch event which was a revamped version of ‘Wakhra Swag’.
Earlier, the actress also lashed out at gen next actors such as Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor for different reasons. Recently, she also called Deepika’s Depression story a publicity stunt.
