This is to get the parents of their students to vote in the May 12 Assembly elections. It is to raise awareness about the right to vote among the citizens. KAMS has decided that students will be awarded extra marks if their parents give a vote. A student can gain a maximum of 4 marks, as each vote will get them 2 marks, for  2018-19. D Shashi Kumar, general secretary of KAMS, said, “We will record the details of the students and the parents and award 4 marks to them in the Part B section of internal assessments.” [caption id="attachment_36130" align="aligncenter" width="651"]Karnataka source[/caption] After casting votes in Karnataka elections, parents will show their inked finger to schools. This will ensure their children to get marks. Well, this is not happening for the first time, it happens frequently in every election to spread awareness.
