Kajol's much-awaited home production film Helicopter Eela is reportedly being rescheduled to October 12. The film was initially scheduled for release on September 7. This is the second time when the makers have rescheduled the film's release. Originally, the film was slated for release on September 14. The release date of Kajol-starrer Helicopter Eela has been rescheduled due to director Pradeep Sarkar’s ill health. If reports are believed to be true then the director of the film, Pradeep Sarkar has been diagnosed with dengue. Recently, he was admitted to a hospital but he came out to shoot a special sequence with Amitabh Bachchan. According to a press release, he was allowed to leave the hospital for a day to direct Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo in the movie, with an ambulance and a doctor on standby on the set. Based on Anand Gandhi’s Gujarati play Beta Kaagdo, Helicopter Eela revolves around a single mother (Kajol) who fulfills her musical ambitions while trying to create a bond with her adolescent son (Riddhi Sen). The cast includes Neha Dhupia and Tota Roy Chowdhury. Producers Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada have decided to postpone the release until Sarkar is discharged from the hospital. This may have come as a spoiler for all those people who were eagerly waiting for the film. We just wish a soon recovery of the director.
