This year Virat Kohli will not be playing for Surrey as he is suffering from a neck injury. The incident took place just after an IPL match. This was the first time that Kohli signed a contract with a Surrey based cricket club. It came as a huge loss both to Indian cricket team and premier league team Royal Challengers Bangalore. as he was one of the highest scoring batsmen. Kohli was scheduled to play in this English county on 1stJunee but after this incident, the will not be able to go out for the match. back from 2014, he was involved in so many test and one day matches in England. as per reports ,Kohli is due to play for another test series in England which is scheduled in August. Doctors said that the cricketer will be fine and he needs complete rest for a month. in an official statement from BCCI, the player will undergo through a partial rehabilitation with a medical supervision team.T he board’s statement read: “Team India Captain Mr Virat Kohli suffered a neck injury while fielding during Match 51 of the VIVO IPL between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad on 17th May 2018 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. It added: "He will begin training and subsequently undergo a fitness test in Bengaluru from 15 June. The BCCI medical team is confident that Mr Kohli will regain full fitness ahead of India's upcoming tours to Ireland and England." Surrey director of cricket Alec Stewart said it was "hugely disappointing" that Kohli would not be joining up with the county. Rahane is already selected to lead in a coming series against Afghanistan from June 15.
