The ability to understand the need to do more is what enables a person to strive towards perfection. It is to this end that many actors in the film industry, go out of their comfort zones to train in areas they lack. And sometimes, this is done by taking on different roles. A perfect example is seen in Kriti Sanon who for her role in the upcoming film Arjun Patiala is sharpening her Punjabi accent. Kriti Sanon who lives in Mumbai is a native of Delhi born to Punjabi Parents. Talking to a leading daily, she revealed that she hardly spoke Punjabi with her parents but is now making efforts to speak in the language to her parents in order to have a perfect flow while acting. Like the popular saying goes, 'with perfection comes excellence' and that is her goal. She was quoted saying.
I am from Delhi so I already have the North Indian accent, but then the language and the style of speaking also changes from region to region. Since the film is set in Punjab I will have a bit of Punjabi accent. I am Punjabi but we never spoke in the language at home and would talk in Hindi. I will probably also be chatting with Diljit in Punjabi a lot more.Arjun Patiala also stars the Punjab superstar Diljit Dosanjh. He will be seen as a cop while Kriti Sanon will be playing the role of a Journalist. The film which recently went floors in Chandigarh has been a great exciting journey for Kriti. Every now and then, she displays fun moments on her Instagram story as she enjoys the culture with a great feeling of being at home. 'Arjun Patiala' is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan. It is helmed by Jugraj Rohit and is expected to be released nationwide in cinemas on the 13th of September, 2018.
