Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former Indian skipper and captain cool, is honoured with the begrudged Padma Bhushan award from President Ram Nath Kovind.
Felt with pride, Mahendra Singh Dhoni received the honour in Army uniform at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

His wife Sakshi conceitedly cheered for him. Well, the 36-year-old cricketer got the country's third highest civilian award after Kapil Dev. Dhoni holds the rank of Honorary Lieutenant Colonel and is the most successful Indian captains of all the time.
After receiving the award, Dhoni thanked armed forces through an Instagram post. He wrote-
"An honour to get the Padma Bhushan and receiving it in Uniform increases the excitement ten folds. Thanks to all the Men and Women in Uniform and their families for the Sacrifices they make so that all of us could enjoy our Constitutional Rights. Jai Hind,"

However, Dhoni has received this prestigious award exactly after 7 years of victory in ICC World Cup, 2011. Through his glorious skill of leadership, he had made India won 2007 T20I World Cup, 2011 World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy. However, after accomplishing a lot, the skipper bid adieu to Test cricket in 2014. Later on, he handed over the captaincy for all formats to Virat Kohli.
