Indigo Airlines received a fake call by a man who claimed that the aeroplane had a bomb in it. The flight was 6E 218 Jaipur-Mumbai which was scheduled to depart at 5:05 am but had already taken off when the call was made at 05:30 am. The man was identified as Mohit Kumar Tank, a choreographer who was running late for his flight on Tuesday. Mohit was arrested after he confessed his crime when he reached the airport.
we immediately reported the matter to Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) and followed all laid down security protocolsIndigo said in a statement. The bomb threat was analysed and was classified as a "specific bomb threat", Indigo further said that investigations found the call to be essentially a hoax. "Following the clearance by the authorities, operations will be resumed as normal," Indigo said. Although this was fake call, but all we can say is that the people need to be more responsible towards the assets of the country and all those things that are to deal with the general public. As sometimes even a small prank can lead to a big tragedy. So we need to be careful when it comes to doing pranks and they should never be for anyone's personal benefit.
