https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H7VDA8j0oY Valentine's Day... the day of lovers. The day when young and old swear by the names of Heer Ranjha, Romeo-Juliet, Laila-Majnu, and others whose tales inspire every generation. Today's probably the best day to announce a movie on the epitome of love whose stories are inscribed in golden letters. Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor are collaborating for the first time, to re-tell Laila Majnu's story. The movie's first poster was shared by the duo on their social media pages. [caption id="attachment_29774" align="alignnone" width="799"] Source: Instagram/EktaRaviKapoor[/caption] The movie is the directorial debut of Imtiaz Ali's youngest brother Sajid Ali and is being co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures and Preety Ali, Imtiaz's ex-wife. The story of the film is penned down by Sajid himself. In fact, he has been preparing for the film for quite some time now. The first news about the same had come up, back in 2014, when Sajid was about to launch his, then, first project titled 'Banana' under John Abraham Productions (which has still not released). The script of the movie is written by Imtiaz Ali. The star-cast of Laila-Majnu is yet to be revealed but there were some reports doing rounds in November last year, that Sajid Ali has wrapped up Jammu and Kashmir schedule of the film. Indeed, the poster looks like a shot from the beautiful valley, which is called paradise on Earth. Well, if the Laila-Majnu tale does not sound intriguing enough, we all wait to see how Imtiaz's young brother will capture the serenity of Kashmir. Also, Imtiaz's movies are famous for their soundtrack. We await to hear what's in store this time. This re-take on the love-lore is scheduled to release this 4th May.
