Star Indian cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur has been appointed as the Deputy Superintendent of Police with the Punjab police. Harmanpreet who had already completed a three-year tenure in government service as Office Superintendent at Western Railway had resigned from the Railways last year. Moreover, her medical test for the post of DSP had already been completed but she could not join as Indian Railway did not relieve her. Taking to Twitter, Harmanpreet said,
