MOVIE REVIEW : 'YAARA VE', A FILM FULL OF EMOTIONS, DRAMA AND HUMOUR |GABRUU

After making us wait for a while, the much-awaited Punjabi film ‘Yaara Ve' has finally hit the screens today. The film is set in 1940’s when the whole nation is going through the stories about partition. As per the title of this film, one thing was clear that this film will be telling a tale of eternal love and never-ending bond of friendship but to our excitement, it is much more than that.

The film begins on an emotional note where two friends who moved to the Indian side after partition goes to meet their friend on the other side of the border. As the story goes on it shows us the different layers of emotions in it.

It has some shots which are actually very funny like seeing your crush for the first time and some musical instruments start playing in the backdrop. This one also reminds us of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Main Hoon Na’ when Major Ram starts falling for his Chemistry teacher Miss Chandni.

This film also has a lot of punches and we must say that this film will definitely be a good pick for those who love watching movies with socially relevant topics.

Film’s music is truly soothing and one could actually relate with the good old rural life where there were no worries and everyone was used to chill together. At some point, it may also disappoint you when the story of the film picks a little pace and suddenly you get to hear a song.

The first half of this film seems to be shorter than its second half. At some places, the story seems to be losing its flow but in the end, it leaves everyone in tears. Overall, ‘Yaara Ve’ is a sure shot watch this weekend, you could enjoy this with friends or with family.
