Nagarjuna to essay the role of an archaeologist in Brahmastra. His entry into the film will bring the biggest twist in the storyline of the film.
Actor Nagarjuna will be seen sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is one of the most awaited films, Brahmastra. Nagarjuna will be seen essaying the role of an archaeologist in the film which is an Ayan Mukherji directorial.
According to a report published in a leading daily, the scenes have already been shot in Varanasi in June. The source said, “Nagarjuna’s character, along with his students, undertakes an expedition to restore an ancient temple along the banks of the Ganga.”
The film is Ayan’s debut fantasy comprising of three parts which aim to blend ancient Indian mythology and science fiction. Ranbir’s character is named Shiva and will be playing the role of a man with supernatural powers. Alia will be portraying the role of Isha.
Excited about the film, director Ayan previously said, “It’s a modern-day film set in India as it exists today. But the reason it’s called Brahmastra is that the energies, wisdom, powers in the film come from ancient India. That’s all I would say. There are some costumes, maybe not the way you’d expect them to be.”
The film will star Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in prominent roles. Brahmastra will hit the theatres sometime in 2020.
