Almost every traffic rule is going to be mandatory for men and women. Till now men are challaned for not wearing a helmet, but now women will be offenders if not following this rule. Safety is the main concern as mishaps happen don't see the gender of the victim.
The decision came after a high-level meeting chaired by the Chandigarh Transport Secretary KK Jindal.
After sending proposed draft notice soon and once approved by UT administration, the execution process will take place.

Secretary of the PU Students Council, Vani Sood said-
"It is a decent move and ladies are equivalent to men not simply in rights but rather in duties too. Accidents don’t recognize a person gender or religion. Each lady, regardless of religion, must wear the helmet since it is for everyone’s wellbeing and must be executed consistently."
According to the last year reports, out of 107 devastating road accidents, 18 victims were women. There were about more than 30, 000 challans reported for men driving two-wheelers without a helmet. Thus, from this year, women have to obey this rule.
